261 Glide Sheetrock Set (Includes, Green Glide, Mounting Bolt, Snaptoggle)
261 Glide Sheetrock Set (Includes Glide, Mounting Bolt, Snaptoggle)
This is a combination of the 300 Green Glide, 339 Mounting Bolt 5/16", & 250 Snaptoggle. Medium weight wood panels can be mounted directly to drywall, concrete block or any other surface with a hollow cavity using only a 1/2" hole.
The 300 Green Glide is a Medium Duty, one piece, injection molded insert fastener designed to mount panels with a 1/2" drop and lock. The 300 Green Glide compression fits into a 1-1/4" x 5-8" routed slot in any hard substrate. The panels are then lifted into place at the exact, final position, then pushed firmly against each Alignment Pin, leaving an indentation at each mounting bolt location.
The 339 Mounting Bolt 5/16" is a double-headed bolt with a 10-24 standard thread x 2¼" long. Made of mild steel, non tempered so it retains some flexibility. The 339 Mounting Bolt 5/16", fits the 311 Green Glide and the 310 Green Glide Triangle.
The 250 Snaptoggle works with the 339 Mounting Bolt 5/16". The 339 Mounting Bolt 3/16", 250 Snaptoggle, 300 Green Glide combination is very strong, about 100 pounds. It is strong enough to pull warped sheetrock back into place, which work well for heavy trim.
(311 Green Glide Alignment Pins are available for a fast and accurate layout in both the field and shop, sold separately.)
Cost Benefit Estimates
The cost of this Anchor Bolt System varies with the combinations used. The hardware cost for direct connection to drywall is about $0.60 per square foot. We believe the most common applications will be for heavier pre-sized panels with the 300 Green Glide inserted in the plant and sent out to the field; with a template or alignment pins for installing the Anchor Bolts onsite.
300 Green Glide $ 0.59
339 Mounting Bolt 5/16" $ 0.29
250 SnapToggle $ 0.79
Total : $ 1.67 Per Connection
Price per 4 ft. x 8 ft panel, 12 fasteners = $ 20.04 per panel or $ 0.62 per sqft. The 260 Zero Sheetrock Set allows direct panel application at less than half the cost of a full furring system.
Hundreds of possible combinations
Requires smaller hole than the 200 Hanger 1-3/8"
Allows for hanging of wood panels on steel panels from the inside of cabs
Strength Testing with 5/8" drywall & Zip Tie
Tensile Failure (Horizontal pull) = 110 lbs.
Working Strength ( Pull from furring) = 20 lbs.
Shear Failure (Vertical weight holding) = 75 lbs.
