Applications
360 is the popular combination of the 320 Zero, 237 Mounting Bolt 3/16", Washer & 950 Snaptoggle. Medium weight wood panels can be mounted directly to drywall, concrete block, or any other surface with a hollow cavity using only a 1/2" hole.
Description
The 360 Zero is a Medium Duty, one piece, injection molded insert fastener designed to mount panels 'straight-in' with "zero" reveals. The 320 Zero compression fits into a 1" drilled hole in any hard substrate. The 320 Zero simply pushes into the 237 Mounting Bolt 3/16" with about 10lbs of force and can be removed with about 25lbs of force.
The 360 Mounting Bolt 3/16" is a double-headed bolt with a 10-24 standard thread x 2¼" long. Made of mild steel and non-tempered so it retains some flexibility: the 360 Mounting Bolt 3/16", fits the 320 Zero with the use of a 1/8" thick washer.
The 950 Snaptoggle insert works with the 338 Mounting Bolt 3/16", and a variety of Star Hanger inserts. We like the 950 Snaptoggle because it holds its location in the drywall, is very strong, and is not easily pushed backward into the wall cavity when installing.
Cost Benefit Estimates
The cost of this Anchor Bolt System varies with the combinations used. The hardware cost for direct connection to drywall is about $0.60 per square foot.
