The Quick Introduction Amination is helpful to understanding the mechanism.
The 520 Ceiling Clip Nylon Pair is two separate clips. The top clip is a hanger and mounts on the furring. The lower clip mounts on the panels and slips into the upper clip. All the meeting surfaces are carefully angled to guide the clips into position. There is a 1/4" tolerance in both front to back and side to side. The size of the mated pair is 2" x 3-1/2" and the screw are a standard pattern for simple layout.
The layout overhead is difficult, we reamend the use of a template. Making a 1/4" plywood template only takes a few minutes and works well consistently. Once all the clips have been installed, test fit the panels. After the fit and placement have been confirmed, install the locking arms and reinstall for permanent installation. The panel can be removed, but the locking clips will need to be replaced.
