320 Zero | 5/16" Gap

The 320 Zero is a medium-duty plastic insert fastener designed to install panels straight-in, with a snap-in motion, requiring “zero” reveals. The engineered plastic body and steel screw withstand repeated removal. The 320 Zero compression fits into a 1.000” milled hole of any hard substrate.

The 320 Zero snaps together with a 334 Mounting Euro Screw (or compatible 300 Series Screws) with about 10 lbs. of force and can be removed with about 25 Lbs. of force, much like a friction catch. The 320 Zero system is suitable for mounting all kinds of panels, from architectural or veneer panels to acoustic and fabric panels. A wide range of surfaces combinations can be used by selecting any screw from the 300 Series products that best fit the application.

INSTALLATION

The 320 Zero fits into a 1” Diameter x 1/2” Depth milled hole. (Best milled with a 1” Forstner Bit if installed in the field) A soft mallet is then needed to compression fit the plastic insert into the 1” hole. Install the 330 Zero Alignment Pin (Sold Separately) into the center hole of insert. Press the panel against the adjacent surface you wish to connect to firmly. Apply a few soft strikes to the back of each connection point to create a noticeable location marking. Remove the Alignment Pins. Use the marked locations as the screw location. Using a coordinated lift, snap the panels into place again using a soft strike along the back of each connection point. The panel can be removed with about 25lbs of force.
Note: Excessive removal will reduce the holding strength over time.
